Hey there, I'm Kelsey, Gatherologist at your service!

I've always been fascinated by the way people interact. Gatherology is the study of how people gather and it reflects my spirit of lifelong learning and curiosity.

I have 10 years' experience in hosting professional gatherings, including board meetings, learning events and seminars, fundraisers, committees of all shapes and sizes, dinner parties, staff meetings, networking events, and more. I've been everything from the board chair to the show runner to the bartender to the minute taker.

I started this website to help nonprofit staff learn that gathering well matters, and that it is doable. And you don't have to love gatherings the same way that I do in order to be good at them. I'm sorry to admit that it may not get less stressful all around - even I still get pre-event jitters. But I no longer fear public speaking - that's not something I thought I would ever say.

When I'm not in my nonprofit role, I opened the Cookbook Club Redmond chapter in 2024 and have hosted monthly dinner parties ever since. I have two young children and my husband to come home to, and our cats: Butters and Luna. I enjoy writing, going for long walks, and organizing other people's messy closets.
